I always laugh when I see this picture.
Examine it for a second.
The ideology that promotes war is the ideology that promotes property, imperialism, and colonialism. It’s the same ideology that incentives the building of empires.
Capitalism is to blame for war. The ruthless need to acquire and occupy everything is a trait inherent in capitalism. Is it not in a person’s ‘rational self-interest’ to keep more for him/herself and use force to do so?
Following libertarian ethics to its logical conclusion leads to war.
tl;dr Libertarianism is the denial of reality
lol don’t you and most radical leftists want a violent workers uprising (a new civil war) to recapture and defend the means of production, which you consider to be the rightful property of the workers (in other words: workers violently defending their private property) instead of simply demonstrating the superiority of worker control of production by organizing that type of business and replacing capitalism peacefully?
>Implying seizing the means of production causes civil war.
Look at all the cases in Chile in which the workers took control of the means of production.
Occupied hospitals, schools, factories… etc.
No civil war there. You are strawman-ing what socialism stands for.
You believe that that type of business model and life style is functional and will offer a higher quality of life. If you’re right then why would workers choose to work for capitalists if they had better options?
Because by definition, capitalists use violence to control capital. That’s a fact of fucking reality. Capitalists own capital in capitalism… I shouldn’t have to tell you this since you are a capitalist.
Do you think you will overthrow a few factory owners and land barons and then suddenly communism?
Worker controlled means of production = socialism. By definition. This is a stupid question.
Do you think that all those people out there who disagree with leftism will just get over it and accept your concept of morality without a fight?
Yeah, the slave-owners did fight for their right to keep slaves. They didn’t want to accept that “concept of morality” without a fight. Are you saying that we should have nonviolently fought slavery?
For leftists to succeed in their revolution it will not only mean war on the capitalist class but also on everyone that disagrees with radical leftism and those who will not fall into line, which in the US is the majority of the population.
Quit making up shit. For leftists to succeed, we will seize back the means of production, give laborers control of their own lives… etc.
Maybe you’re right that drawing lines in the dirt and declaring private ownership of property leads to instances of violence but by rejecting the peaceful option of demonstrating your opinions in a free market and instead opting for a violent uprising you are guaranteeing a war.
Again, facts prove you wrong. Look at chile. Worker controlled means of production ≠ war. Libertarianism is the denial of reality
A fucking massive one, and it won’t just be a war over territory it will be a war over ideology which will rapidly descend into an endless blood feud.
Stop making up bullshit
anticapitalist: “I always laugh when I see this picture.”
Hey AntiCap: Just how many times have you seen this picture? I mean, I only made it a week ago, so…
I’ve seen a bunch of libertarians reblog it.
I’ve also seen it on reddit multiple times.
